‘If only I could live in a stigma free world’, Angela says. Widow, mother of three, having the HIV virus and also one of her children was born with the virus. Her husband died of Aids. ‘When we were tested positive, we could not tell the neighbors. Because when you do, they isolate you. We had no family around us. If I would be healthy, I would have a job, a salary. Now it is very hard to get food for my children. And we cannot take the medicine on an empty stomach. Some mothers tell their children not to play with mine. My wish for the future is to live without the stigma, to feel that I deserve to live!’
