Cleft lip and palate is a gap on the upper lip or the roof of the mouth. This disorder is present from birth and hinders a child’s smile. Our reporter Linda spent time with the Kenya Progressive Nurses Association, who are offering free operations to children and adults in partnership with Operation Smile.
