Chokora is the swahili name for the street children in Nairobi. Odhis, a young boy, tells us about living in the streets. ‘Some of us have fled the poverty at home, others are born here and have no family. We beg for food or scavenge around, collecting scraps for a few Ksh. It is cold, we have no blankets.’ Only the strongest survive this hard life, there are no laws to govern them. No community is protecting them. Lack of shelter, sanitation and nutrition make their life difficult. You reporters are Ursula, Musa and Eriss.
